Abstract
KINERJA MEMBRAN KERAMIK BERBASIS TANAH LIAT, ZEOLIT, PASIR SILIKA, DAN SERBUK BESI PADA PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR KELAPA SAWIT (POME) (Sintia Monita 2014, 43 Pages, 7 Tables, 19 Pictures, dan 4 Attachments) This study treating wastewater from palm oil output last pool at PT. Sawit Mas Sejahtera using clay-based ceramic membranes, zeolite, silica sand and iron filings. This study aims to determine the performance of ceramic membranes in wastewater treatment processes palm oil (POME) based on pressure, temperature and time. Membranes made with the 75 (% Wt) clay, 15 (% Wt) zeolite, 5 (% Wt) of iron powder and 5 (% Wt) of silica sand with a large pore of 0.5 lm. Previously performed pretreatment by adding 80 ppm PAC. After that POME in ceramic membrane filtration using ceramic membrane's ability to see in the POME aside. The best membrane performance shown in the membrane with a pressure of 0.2 bar is obtained percent reduction in COD effluent concentration of 84.51%, 85.96% BOD, TSS 69.23%. Performance ceramic membrane capable of filtering the liquid waste palm oil with satisfactory results and is already showing results in accordance with the effluent quality standard (South Sumatra Governor Rule 8 of 2012).
