Abstract
Bioethanol from Cassava Ganyong (Canna edulis Kerr) (Overview Effect Ratio Against Yeast and Fermentation Time Yield) (Yayu Anggraini 2014, 77 pages, 13 tabels, 29 pictures) The aims of this research to know the optimum conditions of fermentation Potato Ganyong (Canna Edulis Kerr) by using yeast to increase the bioethanol product. The fermentation process at room temperature and atmospheric pressure bellow the variations of yeast from 7,2%, 7,6%, 8,0%, 8,4%, 8,8% and 9,2% by using 100 grams Potato Ganyong. Canna contain quite high carbohydrate, nutrient content per 100 grams Ganyong it consists of 95.00 cal calories, 1.00 g protein, 0.11 g fat, carbohydrates 22.60 g, 21.00 g of calcium, phosphorus 70.00 g, 1.90 mg iron, 0.10 mg vitamin B1, vitamin C 10.00 mg, 75.00 g water. The fermentation products in these researches with variation of yeast, using potato starch with aquadest 1 devided 10, and using with starch content 1 devided 18 by the optimum condition of fermentations in six days with total yeast 8,4% w/w from 100 grams ubi ganyong. The product of bioethanol is 9 mL with 63,414 purity. The characteristic of bioethanol were indeks bias 1,3506 with colourless bioethanol and density is 0,792 gr/mL, boiling point is 78,3oC and the flame colour is blue.
