Abstract

The design automation of irrigation systems to detect the condition of the soil is dry with water sensors SMS (Short Message Service) based using dry soil sensors that can send short messages via mobile phone to the owner of the rice fields wherever the owner the rice field there , when the soil was detected in dry conditions and automatically irrigate the fields. The circuit consists of a piece of hardware software. Hardware such as LCD, ATMega 16 Microcontroller, Power Supply, IC, Sensor Dry Soil , Water Sensor and software of programming languages BASCOM AVR. Sensor dry soil will work if detected dry soil fields and will sends the information to a microcontroller so that can automatically turn on the pump to irrigate the fields and send SMS. If the water reaches a specified limit water is 30 centimeters, 60 cm and 90 cm in the rice field owners receive SMS limit water level, if the water has reached the limit of 90 cm, then the pump stops to irrigate the fields.
