Abstract
The purpose of the research is carried out to obtain the KAO calculation with a mixture that is easily obtainable locally. We know the cement, stone dust, and some added material used in the filler mix in Indonesia. However, cement prices are relatively expensive and to get a region which is easily available locally and the price is cheap and even free as a filler mixture. Hot mix asphalt type AC-BC is one type of flexible Infernal Surface layer materials by using continuous graded aggregated (continuous grades). The purpose of this study is about Limestone mixture as the hot mix asphalt pavement construction performed on the data or analysis. This research was also conducted on the KAO with a mixture of Limestone in the laboratory by using a Marshall. It is also to determine the optimum value of Asphalt Content, stabilias, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, and MQ on hot asphalt mix type AC-BC, Limestone as a filler or fillers. Based on the results of the test using Marshall apparatus KAO values obtained with the composition of Limestone 1%, 2% and 3% in the amount of 6.25%, 6% and 5.75%. From the test results test Marshall stated that the use of 3% Limestone in hot mix asphalt type AC-BC has a better quality. Keywords: Limestone, KAO, hot mix asphalt type AC-BC
