Abstract

This final report aimed to research and develop the video script about Bukit Besak as a tourism destination in Lahat Regency. In this final report, the writer used to research and development (R&D) modified by Plomp (1997), with five stages (1) Preliminary Investigation; (2) Designing; (3) Realization/ Construction; (4) Testing, Revision, and Evaluation; (5) Implementation. To design the draft the writer linked the idea of script development by Ranga and Koul (2017), there were ten stages of script development in this study; finding idea, creating plan, researching, selecting material, planning message, arranging structure, drafting script, first draft, testing script and final draft. In preliminary investigation, the steps were to find idea, creating brief plan, and researching. The second step was designing with the ideas; selecting material, planning the messages, organizing a structure, and drafting a script. The third step was realization/ construction with the ideas; first draft of the script. The next step was testing, revision, and evaluation which related with testing the product. There were three experts chosen puposively; content experts, English linguistic expert, and scriptwriter expert who was parcipated in giving comments and suggestion for developing the product. The last step was implementation which the result was a video script entitled “Lahat Tourism Destination - Bukit Besak”.
