Abstract
Tujuan dari penulisan laporan akhir ini adalah merancang sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2019 pada tata usaha SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data seperti observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi serta riset kepustakaan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang berupa merancang sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2019 pada tata usaha di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin. Berdasarkan studi lapangan yang telah dilakukan, sistem kearsipan yang ada pada tata usaha SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin menggunakan penyimpanan surat secara manual, sistem penyimpanannya terdiri dari sistem subjek dan sistem kronologis. Penyimpanan secara manual ini saat melakukan pencarian memerlukan waktu 5-8 menit dikarenakan banyaknya arsip serta membutuhkan peralatan dan ruangan yang luas untuk penyimpanan arsip. Perancangan sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2019 pada tata usaha SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin memudahkan petugas arsip dalam melakukan penyimpanan arsip. Oleh karena itu, sebaiknya tata usaha di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin menerapkan sistem penyimpanan kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2019 yang telah dirancang karena memiliki fitur search untuk melakukan pencarian yang dibutuhkan kurang dari 1 menit serta tidak membutuhkan peralatan sehingga dapat menghemat tempat dalam penyimpanan arsip.
