Abstract

Tujuan dari laporan akhir ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2010 Pada Bagian Tata Usaha SMA Negeri 12 Palembang. Laporan ini ditulis dengan menggunakan beberapa metode pengumpulan data seperti riset lapangan, pengamatan, wawancara dan juga riset kepustakaan. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis kualitatis berupa merancang sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2010 pada bagian Tata Usaha SMA Negeri 12 Palembang. Berdasarkan riset lapangan dan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa sistem penyimpanan arsip pada bagian Tata Usaha SMA Negeri 12 Palembang kurang efektif dalam penyediaan tempat dan juga peralatan arsip yang membuat banyak arsip yang menumpuk dan tidak tertata rapi di dalam lemari, serta dengan penyimpanan arsip manual dalam penemuan kembali arsip masih membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama yaitu 4-6 menit untuk pencarian satu arsip. Dibuatnya suatu rancangan kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2010 dapat memudahkan pegawai dalam menyimpan dan mencari arsip. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas diharapkan bagian Tata Usaha SMA Negeri 12 Palembang agar terus menerapkan sistem kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2010 karena dapat mempermudah pegawai dalam melakukan pengelolaan arsip yang memiliki fitur input surat, pencarian surat, penyimpanan surat, serta tidak membutuhkan tempat dan peralatan yang banyak dalam menggunakan kearsipan elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access 2010, sehingga arsip lebih tertata rapi dan memudahkan dalam pencarian arsip.
