Abstract
Tujuan penelitian laporan akhir ini adalah untuk membangun Aplikasi Pemetaan Persebaran Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri di Kota Palembang pada Dinas Pendidikan Kota Palembang Berbasis WebGis yang dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi Dinas Pendidikan Kota Palembang dalam mengelola informasi mengenai pemetaan persebaran dan informasi SMP Negeri, di Kota Palembang. Selain itu, aplikasi ini dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pemetaan persebaran SMP Negeri yang ada di Kota Palembang. Pada aplikasi ini masyarakat bisa mencari informasi mengenai persebaran lokasi SMP Negeri di Kota Palembang melalui peta interaktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengembangan Waterfall dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Proses yang digunakan untuk mendesain aplikasi ini adalah membuat rancangan dengan menggunakan Unifed Modelling Language (UML). Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL, serta memanfaatkan teknologi WebGIS untuk memvisualisasikan data geografis. Dengan dibuatnya aplikasi ini, diharapkan dapat membantu Dinas Pendidikan dalam pengelolaan informasi dan pemantauan, serta memberikan akses mudah dan cepat kepada masyarakat untuk melihat persebaran lokasi dan mencari lokasi serta informasi SMP Negeri di Kota Palembang yang diinginkan.
