Abstract

Kecamatan Pulau Pinang merupakan salah satu kecamatan di Kabupaten Lahat. Kecamatan Pulau Pinang adalah kecamatan yang berbatasan langsung dengan kecamatan Lahat yang merupakan ibukota kabupaten Lahat. Secara administratif kecamatan ini dibagi menjadi 10 wilayah yakni desa Muara Siban, desa Jati, desa Kuba, desa Pagar Batu, desa Karang Dalam, desa Lubuk Sepang, desa Perigi, desa Tanjung Sirih, desa Pulau Pinang, dan desa Tanjung Mulak. Mayoritas masyarakat di Kecamatan Pulau Pinang sudah menggunakan internet, jaringan internet pada Kecamatan Pulau Pinang sudah baik namun terkait dengan pencarian Informasi Kecamatan Pulau Pinang masih sangat minim, dan informasi- informasi tersebut juga tidak didalam sebuah sistem, sehingga cukup mempersulit masyarakat dalam pencarian informasi yang berkaitan dengan Kecamatan Pulau Pinang, dalam artian pada Kecamatan Pulau Pinang belum mempunyai situs website khusus yang menampung segala informasi yang berkaitan dengan Kecamatan Pulau Pinang pada setiap Divisi Kepegawaian di Kantor Camat Pulau Pinang. Oleh karena itu, penulis bermaksud membangun sebuah Sistem Informasi Data Kecamatan Pulau Pinang pada Divisi Kepegawaian di Kantor Camat Pulau Pinang Sebagai Media Penyebaran Informasi Berbasis Website. Dengan menggunakan Bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database Mysql. sistem ini akan bersifat public agar masyarakat mengetahui mengenai informasi Kecamatan Pulau Pinang.
