Abstract

Labor force trends are crucial for identifying the changing nature of the job market and facilitating effective resource allocation and planning. With the use of an analysis of labor force data from the Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (Department of Statistics Malaysia) website, this study aims to provide new perspectives on Malaysia's labor market during the next five years. Furthermore, it concentrates on the creation of a web-based system that makes use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, particularly genetic algorithms, and the differential Evolution, to forecast future trends in the labor force. The existing labor force data are gathered and examined, with a focus on attributes like country, strata, year, and the number of labor force. Predictive models are constructed by taking advantage of genetic algorithms and differential evolution and the insights obtained from the data analysis. These AI techniques were selected due to their proficiency in managing large data sets and efficient prediction process optimization. The final web-based solution incorporates these models, allowing users to present relevant data and get precise forecasts about Malaysia's future labor force. This study offers an adequate and user-friendly way for understanding and forecasting Malaysia's labor force's future by overcoming the gap between AI techniques and labor force planning. The developed web-based system offers a convenient platform for users to access and apply the prediction models, serving as a useful tool for participants in the labor force area. In summary, this work provides the number of Malaysia's labor force and the creation of a web-based system that use AI techniques to predict future trends. The research's conclusions and outputs, which address the changing dynamics of the nation's labor market, assist in formulating effective labor force planning and policy.
