Abstract

Dalam pengelolaan inventaris Barang Milik Negara (BMN) pada Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian masih menggunakan sistem konvensional dan terkomputerisasi secara sederhana yaitu dengan mencatat tertulis pada lembar kertas form print out yang nantinya disalin kembali di Word. Setelah input data, pegawai dapat mencetak dan diserahkan ke Penanggung Jawab Ruang sebagai arsip inventaris barang di ruangan tersebut. Hal ini tentu memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama sehingga terlihat kurang efektif dan efisien apabila pegawai membutuhkan data barang ataupun data inventaris. Aplikasi ini dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan Famework Codeigniter dan database MySQL. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan apliksi ini yaitu metode Waterfall. Aplikasi ini memiliki 3 user yang terdiri dari Admin Inventaris, Penanggung Jawab Ruang, dan Kepala Balai. Aplikasi ini dapat mengolah data barang, data ruangan, dan data inventaris serta pelaporan barang rusak yang keluaran outputnya berupa laporan. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan dan mempermudah instansi terkait dalam melakukan proses pengelolaan data inventaris barang sehingga dapat memberikan informasi yang akurat dan proses yang efisien.
