Abstract
Research conducted on the lightweight concrete is one thing that is very interesting and very important for developed and researched further. Required a building material that has the advantage of being better than the existing building materials over the years. Moreover these materials must have some advantages like shapes that can adapt to the needs, technical specifications, and strong durability, speed of construction and environmentally friendly. In a mixture of brick, many people try to take advantage of additional materials that are used in a mixture of lightweight concrete brick. One is the foam agent and fly ash. adding foam agent in a mixture of lightweight concrete bricks were made of brick to be mild. And fly ash is the substance that is the burning of the earth's crust known as fly ash for use as an additive in concrete mixtures. On this occasion, the authors add foam agent and fly ash in lightweight concrete brick mix to get a lighter specific gravity and the compressive strength of concrete brick quality level I of the standard SNI 03-0349-1989 which states that the minimum compressive strength of lightweight concrete brick is the level of quality I 100 kg/cm2. The variation of lightweight concrete bricks with foam agent 0%, 0.5% 1% 2%, 3%, 4% and the ratio of sand and fly ash by 10% to 40% fly ash. By testing at 28 days of age. From the research results compressive strength test using validity, lightweight concrete brick compressive strength average (kg/cm2) are included in the level of quality I with a light density foam agent is 1% and 10% fly ash with a compressive strength of 104,79 kg/cm2 ≥ 100 kg/cm2 and a density of 1.39 gr/cm3. Keywords : concrete, foam agent, fly ash, compresive strength of lightweight concrete brick
