Abstract
Electricity distribution process allows the consumer to get the loss. Losses in the form of voltage drop and power loss. The loss is influenced by the length of the channel from the substation to the load center. This will cause the electricity supplied to consumers is smaller. Power loss can not be vanished, because the equipments that are used in electrical distribution systems may not have the efficiency level of 100%. Therefore, the writer of this time aimed to analyze sources of power losses that occur and provide comparative calculations manually and calculations using the software ETAP (Electrical Power System Analysis). In the discussion of power losses on 20 KV medium voltage network Merak feeders Seduduk Putih substation, the calculations show that the daytime power loss is 0,13% and the evening power loss is 0,15%. ETAP Software results show that the daytime power loss is 0,14% and the evening power loss is 0,15%
