Abstract

The house serves as a place to live, relaxing and enjoy it with the family. But most of the time the home is often only used as a place to sleep at night and left by their owners in the morning so as to make the house empty or unoccupied. With the state of the house that is always left behind by their owners, making home become vulnerable to danger, either security or safety hazard to the items contained in the house. This could be seen from the number of cases of theft and fire at an empty house being left by their owners. Busy homeowners to maintain and care for the house makes electrical equipment plugged become easily damaged and wasteful of energy such as light is always switched on when there is no person, with the intention that the house does not look empty so that the house is safe from theft, but in reality it no effect against theft. To overcome that we need a home automation system so that the house can function properly. The system is called Smart Home System, which is a Smart Relay-assisted system that will provide all the comfortable, security, safety and energy savings which takes place automatically and programmed in a house. To ensure the safety of the theft, the system is designed to turn on the alarm and the lights automatically when detected burglaries in the house abandoned by their owners. And to ensure the safety and security of a fire, the system is designed to turn off all the electricity that goes to the lighting load and open the garage door automatically by detecting a wildfire through the fire sensor which makes the alarm sounds.
