Abstract

DESIGN OF AUTOMATIC FILLING WATER CONVEYOR WITH INPUT OPTICAL PROXIMIRTY SENSOR SUCI ROBBI AHRANI This final report describes how the optical proximity sensor work as detector of object at the filling water conveyor. This tool uses infrared light source and photodiode as detector of the presence or absence of bottle on conveyor. Optical proximity sensor with photodiode as detector infrared light will have change the resistance value according to the intensity of infrared light that get in into photodiode. If intensity infrared light is received by photodiode is large then it will have low resistance. Whereas If intensity infrared light received by photodiode is small then it will have high resistance. According to this resistance value, it will be produced voltage value, the voltage value will produce logic 1 or 0 to microcontroller. When it doesn’t detect an object (bottle), it will have logic 1, and it will have logic 0 when it detects an object. Conveyor will work when the sensor is blocked by an object (bottle) that produce the motion of motor
