Abstract
Load imbalance in the distribution transformer can cause neutral current. Current on the neutral conductor transformer caused a power loss in distribution transformers. This final report investigates load imbalance of each phase in the distribution transformer. Investigations carried out by the measurement and calculation of the flow in the neutral conductor. To reduce the current in the neutral conductor do load balancing. Load balancing is done by transferring the load from one phase to another phase to three-phase load on the balanced or nearly balanced. Measurements and calculations done through case studies on the distribution transformer substations U-046 in the PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Palembang Ampera. Results of measurements and calculations show that if the neutral currents do load balancing and losses - loss of power due to load imbalance in the distribution transformer is reduced. Neutral current from the original 53.85 A decreased to 1.73 A and a loss - power losses from the previous 2100.96 W is reduced to 2.17 W. Keywords: Load imbalance, Neutral Current, Losses, Load Equalization.
