Abstract

The Design Of Alternative Power Plant By Using Flywheel includes testing when the electric motor as the driving force that drives the flywheel and ac synchronous generator with no load and load installed in the form of an incandescent lamp has a power of 100 watts to 1000 watts. This was done to compare the results obtained by the residual voltage ac generator when the motor as the prime mover is turned off. The residual stress is obtained due to the influence of the flywheel which has a fairly heavy mass. Further testing the ability of the electric motor as the driving that drives the flywheel and ac synchronous generator when the generator 100 watt ac saddled up to 1000 watts, while the capacity of only 370 watt electric motor and T (torque) maximum 2.5 Nm. Flywheel role is to help the rotation so that the electric motor is able to drive the ac generator with loads up to 1000 watts. When a load of 400 W, obtained torque of 2.7 Nm. It can be seen that the current load of 400 W has a torque in excess of the maximum torque capacity owned motorcycles.
