Abstract

Medium voltage feeder is a means to distribute electricity from the substation to consumers. In fact, these feeder is often susceptible to interference, such as short circuit three-phase, two-phase or single-phase to ground. It is therefore necessary to localize the interference protection system that meets all the requirements such as sensitivity, selectivity, reliability and speed. It all depends on the precision setting of protection equipment. Protective equipment commonly used in medium voltage feeder are over current relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR). Both relays function is instructed PMT to open, so that in the event of disruption SUTM / SKTM can be separated from the network. Keywords: substation, medium voltage feeder, over current relay, ground fault relay.
