Abstract
Vegetables Cooler Using Peltier Base on Microcontroler ATMega16 RESMY SARASWATI Generally, fruits and vegetables freshly picked should be cooled at least on 15˚C so as not as rot quickly, because the fruits will be respiring altough it have been picked. To solve that problem, It is necessary for a vegetables cooler. But, which is common in cooler, there is uncontrol temperature generated by compressor because the change of fruits volume. Therefore, a coller without compressor was made with using peltier base on microcontroller so the temperature will be controlled, save energy and can be carried in all conditions. The voltase needed by peltier is only 12VDC that can be generated by 12V accumulator. When there is vegetable and fruit loads in cooller box, the LM35 sensor will detect the temperature in cooler box. If the tempereture detected by LM35 sensor is ≥ 17˚C, the microcontroller will move the relay so that the peltier will in active condition (ON).In the other way if the tempereture detected by LM35 sensor is ≤ 15˚C, the microcontroller will move the relay so that the peltier and blower will in unactive condition (OFF). The magnitude of the detected temperature will be directly proportional with the voltage that generated by LM35 sensor. Keyword: Cooler, Peltier, LM35 Sensor, Microcontroller ATMega16.
