Abstract

Currently the early warning system is very important. Genesis flood is sometimes difficult to detect, it could be the arrival of a sudden and cause substantial losses to society. River height can not always be monitored it is necessary the construction of a flood early warning system that can be accessed remotely. The objective of this tool is to create an early warning system for floods are easy to operate and effective system to detect flood using minimum system microcontroller Atmega8535 with proximity sensor SR04 as the water level gauge and SMS as a means of flood warnings. This design concept begins with Atmega8535 minimum system used to process sensor data from measurements of the water level. each water level is expressed in three circumstances, the water level 3 - 5.9 cm (standby-3), 6 - 8.9 cm (standby-2), and> = 9 cm (idle-1). when the water level has exceeded the Set Point or in one of the high state of water is the minimum system Atmega8535 give commands via a modem to send SMS to mobile phone users or the public in the form of data detected water level so that people can be aware and know the development of the water level.
