Abstract

Tectona grandis contain pigment of anthocyanin that can be used as a synthetic colour of textile). Textile colour of tectona grandis can be obtained through soxhlet extraction process. The amount of methanol used varies is 350 ml, 425 ml and 500 ml with mass of tectona grandis is 50 gr. Process extraction using temperatur 70-90oC, The resulting cycle as much as 30 cycle. The extract will continue to distilation process for devide extract from methanol. The synthethic colour that has already got will be make liquid before continue stability of sun process, pH, and condition of saving with 1 ml synthethic colour : 19 ml methanol. When we colouring the cloth, add tawas that used for proof the original colour of the extract. The number of tawas are various such as 0 gr, 2 gr, and 4 gr. The result of this research and analyst the process, sample 3 is stable. The conclution is the more tawas the more colour in cloth. Key Word: Tectona grandis, Synthethic Colour, Anthocyanin
