Abstract

The potential natural colouring agent is anthacianin from purple potato sweet. Anthocianin was extracted with mixture organic solvent (ethanol, acetone, methanol, and acetid acid ) in defference proportion. The purpose of this research is to found the optimum propotion of solvent for extraction anthocianin from purple sweet potato and to kmow stability colour was extracted. This research two step : one step was extracted atnhocianin with mixture organic solvent acetone, ethanol, and methanol (250 ml, 300 ml, 350 ml, 400 ml, 450 ml ). Phase two study is to test the stability of the dye from the extraction, namely stability to sunlight, stability against pH, stability against oxidizing, and the stability of the storage conditions. This research is done to test the stability of natural pigments pasa resistance state of the envivorment. Phase 3 studies are applications staining dye extracted in the textile fabric. On the applications of the dye is extracted using two materials in the form of textile fabric and cotton fabrics hero. In this study hero more absorbent fabric dye ekxtrcted result of the purple potato jalat in comparison with cotton cloth slightly absorbing dye extract.
