Abstract
Rack-type drier solar powered with a dual system, is a modified version of a solar dryer that previously only utilize energy from photovoltaic sources. With the addition of thermal collectors, then make sure the supply of energy will increase and can reduce the performance of the electric heater is the primary heater in the drying process. In this case the expected temperature of the drying chamber remains constant, based on temperature prearranged. The performance of these tools can be in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the thermal drying with fan doing variations that can affect the heat supplied from the thermal collector to the drying chamber, namely the corn drying in the temperature set of 60 ° C for 3 hours, the final drying efficiency is highest on the use of the front fan rack 1, 8.79%. and the use of the rear fan in a rack 3, 7.51%. While the lowest efficiency using either the front fan and the rear fan, located on the territory of drying in the rack 2, namely 5.60% on the use of the front fan and 6.59% in the use of the rear fan. Keywords: Photovoltaic, Dryer, Thermal Collector, fan.
