Abstract
Gasification is a process of utilization of biomass as an alternative energy. Gasification process to change the solid fuel into a gas capable of combustion CO, CH4 and H2 as a result of the reaction occurring in the gasification reactor. In this study design tool updraft gasification biomass system single outlet gas made from corncobs. Gasifier created by having a cleaning system that is directly integrated. This study aims to determine the density filter and a long straw optiman use filters based on density. Syngas is produced at a single updraft system has a composition by gas outlet temperature. for temperature of 802 ℃ CO 16.15%, H2 1.58%, CH4 0.84%, temperature of 804℃ CO 12.72%, H2 1.72%, CH4 0.86%, temperature of 812℃ CO 15.46%, H2 1.82%, CH4 0.74%, temperature of 802 ℃ CO 16,12%, H2 2.06%, CH4 0.87%, and a temperature of 842℃ CO 15.42%, H2 1.80%, CH4 0.80%. And Density filter with optimal use at the time the study is density filter 16,2 Kg/m3 with a long usage time four days with a flow rate of syngas 0.00132 m3/s.
