Abstract
MOTORCYCLE SECURITY SYSTEM WITH SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE (SMS) EVA SRI RAHAYU In this modern era, where technology is growing rapidly, almost all electronic devices can be controlled remotely. It make us easily to controling every activity equipment. SMS (Short Message Service) is a widely used communication media primarily to receive and send messages. SMS (Short Message Service) is not only used for communication between people, but it also can be used for remote control device. This Motorcycle Security System with SMS is a layered security system that is applied to the motor vehicle. The security system is designed by using ATMEL 89S52 microcontroller as the brain processes all these safety systems, it starting from termination of electrical current motors, alarm activation, and provide information in the form of SMS to the owner of the motor that the motor is in danger. The circuit is also integrated with Wavecom Fastrack M1306B GSM modem that can send SMS to the mobile phone to inform the owner of the motor bike condition. With this security system, we can monitor our vehicles and streamline time without having to be limited by distance. Keywords: Short Message Service, Motorcycle Safety, Microcontroller ATMEL 89S52.
