Abstract

Human limitations for realtime communication separated by distance, time, and space has been missed by signal. To take signal can use antenna. In this era, antenna is not give voice information only but has been integrated with data information. Because many computer users for send data with distances already WLAN concept that use radio waves and air as Transmission. Although the process is considered efficient, WLAN also has weakness because limited accesspoint range. Accesspoint range can expanded by external antenna,one of solution is parabolic antenna. The parabolic antenna designed consisted of Reflector and feeder and USB wireless adapter inside it. The received signal will be reflected by reflector to feeder as focal point. Because working principle of parabolic antenna will be obtained increase in value of gain. So if using this antenna can help to decrease a limitid area that served by accesspoint.. The results of tests performed is the maximum gain of 14.75 dB is obtained with an efficiency of 39.8 % . Keywords : Parabolic, WLAN
