Abstract
This study analyzes figurative language in Ariana Grande's song lyrics from the album Eternal Sunshine. Figurative language is language that the speaker wants to convey but has a meaning or meaning that is literally different from what the speaker wants to say. In conducting this research, the researcher uses the descriptive qualitative method because the researcher explains in detail the meaning of figurative language that the researcher has encountered from each figurative language category, the researcher also explains the meaning of each song so that the data that the researcher examines is in the form of words. The data of this research are songs from Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine album, finding the types of figurative language in the song lyrics, explaining the implied meaning in the song lyrics, and finding the most dominant type of figurative language in the song lyrics of Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine album. The result of this research shows that there are 11 types out of 13 types of figurative language based on Fitria's theory, the most dominant type of figurative language is metaphor because metaphor is very suitable to describe the meaning precisely in the song.
