Abstract

Prototype Controlling Open/Close The Roof and Watering Chili Plants Based Microcontroller and SMS Gateway Rina Sulastri (2016 : 66 Pages) Prototype Controlling Open/Close The Roof and Watering Chili Plants Based Microcontroller and SMS Gateway is a device that is designed to measure soil moisture of chili plants by microcontroller. It is used for measure soil moisture of chili plants and normalize soil moisture of chili plants by heater or add water with water pump. It is using two sensor, they are soil moisture sensor and raindrop sensor. The program that is used in this device is C programming language. When soil moisture sensor measure dry soil, microcontroller will turn on water pump. Soil moisture sensor measure normal soil, pump/heater will turn off. But, when soil moisture sensor measure humid sensor, microcontroller will turn on heater. All of the activity about open/close the roof, turn on water pump/heater, and soil moisture/raindrop data will be displayed on LCD and reported to the phone. When the raindrop sensor detect rainfall, the roof will be closed automatically. But, when raindrop detect no rainfall, the roof will be opened automatically
