Abstract
Pencak Silat as Tourism Attraction in Palembang city (M. Raka Dewangga, 2016: 25 Pages, 5 Pictures) This report discusses about Pencak Silat as tourism attraction in Palembang city and its potency. The purposes of this report are to find out the potencies of Pencak Silat as tourism attraction in Palembang city and to find out whether Pencak Silat fulfill all the requirement of tourism attraction or not. The data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. Pencak Silat Palembang has special characteristics that never can be found in other place, such as songket and Kuntau taught that had a unique history. Pencak Silat approved that can give entertaintment through their Pencak arts and fighting coreography. The last is Pencak Silat is also sport tourism that can lead to sport event to attract more tourist. The result shows that Pencak Silat has potency as tourism attraction and fulfills all the prerequisite of tourism attraction.
