Abstract
(Maudy Maudinah Matahari, 2016, 42 Pages, 7 Pictures, 7 Tables) This report discusses about Students’ Memorable Experiences: Study Excursion in Malaysia. The purpose of this final report is to know the most students’ memorable experiences while doing study excursion in Malaysia. The writer used qualitative descriptive method by used Braun and Clarke’s (2006) thematic analysis approach which identified the substantial elements of the experience most remembered by the students based on a sequential data collection process that are classified into three main processing phases: (a) pre-, (b) during, and (c) post-travel. The data were collected through observation participant, in-depth interview, and questionnaire. The results of this research show that all of the participants or students remembered their trip from pre-travel: they are motivated to implement the lessons into study excursion, excited about opportunity to travel to another country, and prepared itinerary. On-site or during travel are about their visited places, juxtaposition of Malaysia and Indonesia, and most impressed places that they visited. The last one is post-travel experiences are about their personal experiences (unexpected, fortuitous, and adverse), and culture shock.
