Abstract

Google Translate Errors in the Indonesian-English Translation of Tourism Articles (Nanda Rizky Amelia, 2016, 56 pages, 1 chart) This final report discusses about Google Translate Errors in the Indonesian-English Translation of Tourism Articles. The main purposes of this final report are to identify the types of Google Translate errors exist in the Indonesian-English translation of tourism article and toknow the most and least Google Translate errors in the Indonesian-English translation of tourism articles. The method of research is quantitative method. The samples are 19 tourism articles of South Sumatra province from www.dipardass.go.id. The writer marked and corrected the errors in the tourism articles translated by Google Translate. Then the writer presented a chart and determined the most and least common translation errors found on the translations by calculating the errors and percentages with the formula in chapter 3. The most language error is language errors in syntax. This type of error appears 124 times or 53 % in 19 translated tourism article samples and the least language error is language errors in morphology. This type of error appears 5 times or 2 % in 19 translated tourism articles samples.
