Abstract
This research is about the role of advertising and sales promotion to get the student interesting in choosing LBPP LIA course Palembang. This course is located at Jalan Jendral Sudirman No.2953 Palembang. Questioner was used in this report as a research method. The result showed that the percentage used by using brochure was 69,7%, and poster was 55,7%, banner was 57%, baleho was 55%, discount was 67%, then information through the school was 60%, and competence test was 63%. Based on the result, the writer concludes that there is 61,05% form advertising and sales promotion to get student interest in choosing LBPP LIA course Palembang. The writer suggests that the course should enhance their promotion activities through both of advertising and sales promotion. It is better for LBPP LIA Palembang to start using other promotion activities, such as electronic media to get interest form others
