Abstract

Variety of reasons to build the road, one of which is the result of socio-economic development. For it is through this final report, the author would like to know how the planning and design of geometric and pavement thickness on road SP. Rambutan – Tulung Selapan Ogan Komering Ilir, so that the road will be able to give a sense of security, convenient, and economical way for the user. In the planning of road geometric design, there are things become reference designs which includes the calculation of the horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, and define what it will be used. From the result of above calculation, so SP. Ramutan – Tulung Selapan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir is a class II A road with the speed of the road plans 60 km/hour, and this road used 8 curves including, 2 full circle, 2 spiral-spiral, and 4 spiral-circle-spiral. Road surface layer using worn asphalt concrete by thick layer of 7 cm, asphalt concrete between with thick layer of 8 cm, and foundation asphalt concrete with thick layer of 15 cm. for the base layer used aggregate class A with a thick layer of 15 cm, while the sub base layer is used to aggregate class B with a thick layer of 15 cm. This road building was carried out within 110 days with a total coast Rp. 70.080.514.000,00,-.
