Abstract

Water meter is very important for the management and the distribution of water company to continously monitoring water usage, so that it will be obtained an accurate monthly bills. But, usually there are so many problems occured if water meter still manually. So, it transformed. This digital water meter works by using a prepaid facility (pulse) so the user could check the water usage by themselves, the prepaid facility will be changed into the water discharge qouta. Then the faucet of selenoid valve will open if quota is still available. The calculation of the water discharge will be calculated by the water flow sensor. So the water will flow and touch the wheel and make it spins. It will be detected by using the hall-effect which produce the electric pulse. The calculation of the electric pulse of sensor circuit produced using by Arduino Uno R3. Calculation of the volume of water discharge and the remaining of quota will be displayed on LCD. However when quota of water reach the limit or running out it will be automaticly give an allert with send a message to user. Comunicating betwen arduino and user using SIM900A GSM module.
