Abstract
Power transformer is a static tool that is used to transfer power from one circuit to another circuit, by changing the voltage without changing the frequency. In normal operation does not always work, but sometimes it happens disorders that can lead to reduced reliability and if not addressed coud result in damage to the equipment. Security transformer must be able to detect the presence of interference sources that are inside or outside the transformer is located in the security area. Therefore the protection system is needed to secure the equipment from interference, one of the tools used protection is an over current relay. To meet the reaction rate and selectivity of the over current relays are used for securing the transformer must be set appropriately, adjustment of over current relays include current and future adjustment. Adjustment of flow must be adjusted to the maximum capacity of the transformer to be secured and adjustment procedures tailored to the type of relay used inquiry that is done through the design and calculation of case studies in Talang Kelapa PT.
