Abstract
Army Pranata 0611 3031 0866 ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM STATE POLYTECHNIC SRIWIJAYA The transformer is the main equipment to distribute electrical power from high voltage to medium voltage. In normal operation does not always work, but sometimes that can lead to disruption and reduced reliability if not addressed can lead to damage to the equipment. Therefore, the protection system is needed to secure the equipment from interference. One of the tools used protection is overcurrent relays. To meet the reaction rate and selectivity of the overcurrent relays are used for safety transformer must be set (setting) appropriately. Setting overcurrent relays include current and time settings. Setting current should be adjusted to the maximum capacity of the transformer to be secured and adjustment procedures tailored to the type of relay is used, the investigation is carried out through the design and calculation of case studies in GI gutter queen PT PLN (Persero) The results of the calculations for the nominal current for 82 , 47 A and 288.67 A. Calculation of flow adjustment on overcurrent relays 2.88645 A and 5.05172 A, while the timing of the operation was 0.4 A and 0.56 A.
