Abstract
The road has a very important role in promoting economic growth both locally and nationally. In writing this final project, the writer wanted to know how good planning in planning the geometric design, pavement thickness, and complementary buildings on Palembang-KayuAgung border street, so the path that will be passed to provide a sense of security, convenient and economical for users. In planning the design geometrical highway, things become a reference in planning includes the calculation of horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, pavement establish what is used, complementary building planning and project management. From the results of the calculations above, Jalan Palembang City Limits grand-Wood is a first class Arteri road with speed design of 70 km/h, and in this way using 6 pieces bend. Layers of the road surface using AC-WC layer with a thickness of 5 cm, using cement concrete pavement with 30 cm thick, cement concrete base course (Lean Mix-Concrete) with a thick layer of 12.5 cm while the aggregate base course under class B with thick layer 15 cm. The construction of this road implemented within 284 days with a total fund of Rp 100,892,033,009.00 (One Billion Eight Hundred Ninety Two Million Thirty-three Thousand Nine Rupiah).
