Abstract

In the process distribution of the electrical energy to the load, the system often have variety of disorders which the short-circuit phase to ground is themost happen. The worst possibly of the short-circuitis the failure of all system operation. This final report has purpose to find out the process of the trip on motor GAM-106-Awho makes all motors in MCC514 trip and found the solutions that can be taken. This research also investigate the value of the short-circuit single phase to ground online motor GAM-106-A.The objects of this research are line to motor GAM-106-Awhere the line measurement process doing on the cubicle of motor GAM-106-AatMCC514. The calculation for the value of short-circuit current single phase to ground is done after the process of data collection such as the measurement of insulation resistance to findout which the phase cable that short to ground, component specification like sources(TR58), power transformers (TR511),and the conductor, and the settings that use din GFR.The result of calculation shows the value of the short-circuit current of single phase to ground that happens online toGAM-106-A is7,416A and the GFR of breaker feeder to MCC514 only set on 2A soit makes the short circuit current over than these tand makes the tripon breaker feeder toMCC 514.I think to solve this problem we can use GFR on line motor GAM-106-A and setting on 10 A.
