Abstract

Induction motor is electromechanical device that can convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. In the field of industrial use 3 phase induction motors are widely used as a tool for driving, players and lifter in some systems such as pumps, conveyors and elevators. To obtain an efficient and optimal results it needs a tool that is used to control the speed of the induction motor. The induction motor speed regulation can be done in several ways one of which is to change the frequency by using variable speed drives (inverters). But by changing the frequency of entering the induction motor will certainly cause some influence on the induction motor in which the setting frequency of 10.4 Hz induction motor speed value is measured at 234 rpm with a torque of 50 Nm and when the frequency setting is increased by 26 , 7 Hz, the induction motor speed is measured at 733 rpm with a torque value of 30 Nm. From the results that have been obtained, it can be said that the frequency change affects several parameters in induction motors.
