Abstract

In the distribution of power to consumers, transformer performance is important to looked carefully.To monitor the transformer work maximumly it is necessary tothe efficiency of the transformer. Transformer efficiency is defined as the ratio between the electrical power output with power input on the transformer.The transformer used in the final report is three-winding transformer contained primary side, secondary side and tertiary side.The primary side is the side after the power plant, the secondary side is the side that will be sent to the substation for distribution back, and tertiary side is the side where there is a load transformer own use.With the existence of tertiary side from the transformer, the input power generated will be reduced by the use of own transformer load so that the load transformer own use will also affect the efficiency of the transformer.At the time of loading are also the input power will not be the same as the amount of power output because of the transformer will produce losses, among which the loss of copper and core loss, the greater the losses produced the output power is lost is bigger as well the resulting efficiency will decrease.The highest efficiency with a total loss and the power output of each obtained at99,54 %, 154,89 KW, dan 33199,28 KW. By knowing the transformer efficiency, the transformer is used in the distribution of electrical power will be utilized as much as possible so that the electrical energy needs will be fulfilled. The final report is made to determine a large percentage of efficiency, losses are produced and output power was obtained after loading on transformers in the power plant unit # 1 PT. PLN (Persero) Power Sector Keramasan Palembang.
