Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with which Indonesia has hot weather or drought with a long time, thus causing almost all regions in Indonesia during the dry air pollution levels are increasing due to the environment are increasingly drying up and the frequent occurrence of forest fires which produce smoke that spread to almost all half of Indonesia. So it is a very major impact on the health of human life. Causing damage to the human lung. So to resolve that, this is designed to be a technology that can reduce the level of air pollution. It is Electrostatic Precipitator technology. This tool works with two main points, namely high-voltage direct current and two different types of electrodes. Both electrodes are subjected to a certain distance, as well as the next two electrodes will be given a high voltage direct current so that between the two electrodes will be a process whereby when pollutants such as smoke or dust passing between the two electrodes will be caught and attached to one electrode so that a room or home awake from pollution that can harm health. This tool has an average efficiency of 65% in the filtration of smoke pollution because the tool only shaped miniature of the tool actually. This tool has a specification of a voltage of 8 kV and one stage in the process of filtering pollution, while the tool actually has a specification voltage up to 78 kV and a four-stage filtration process pollution. So it was concluded that to achieve a high level of efficiency in the Electrostatic Precipitator tools that have been made must be added the working voltage and the processing stage so getting a high level of efficiency when filtering air pollution.
