Abstract
This study is used to determine the effect of adhesive hibiscus leaves against biobriket quality of stem nut. The variety used is the ratio of raw material composition stem nut and gluten hibiscus leaves with the ratio used are 100: 0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, and 60:40. Heating temperature of the raw material used is 500 ° C for 2 hours, with heating charcoal size is 60 mesh. The analysis tested for quality biobriket of Indonesian National Standard is water content, ash content, volatile matter, fixed carbon content, dan calorific value, with organoleptic (startup, the old flame, and a form of fire). Based on the study results obtained that the most optimum quality biobriket is variations mixture of raw materials and adhesives 90:10 with a water content of 0.63%, ash content of 7.91%, volatile matter of 32.03%, fixed carbon content of 59,41%, calorific value of 4717 cal / g, the initial ignition of 20 seconds, the old flame of 56.04, and a form of fire like a flame. Latex adhesive from hibiscus leaves does not produce fog, so it can reduce air pollution from burning.
