Abstract

Electrical energy is energy that is in need in everyday life, especially in the use of equipment that requires electrical energy. In the distribution of power to keep kelancaaran consumers to be aware of is security, be it safety equipment or safety of workers. One of the security to do is to connect the equipment to the ground, or so-called grounding. Concerns about security of this earth was to determine whether the value of the distribution substation earthing resistance is in conformity with the provisions PUIL 2000 that is below or equal to 5 ohms and find out if the ground is already installed and able to protect equipment from the human disorder. Of the existing problems, the analysis and calculation of grounding systems at distribution substations where the comparison between the results of measurements and calculations have differences. In accordance with the results of existing data it can be concluded that several distribution substations already comply with existing as well as in the earthing system is able to protect the equipment and the presence of human disturbance, and it is suggested that treatment earthing system periodically to maintain optimum performance of the grounding.
