Abstract

Bioetanol is the ethane which is produced from glucose fermentation (sugar) continued with final process called distillation process. Bioetanol is fuel from plants which has characters similar with premium oil. Nowadays, fuel which can be regenerated and environtment friendly is very needed. Because of fossil fuel has already diminished and almost extinct. Beside the extinction, this kind of fuel is the most air pollution agent. Because of these problems, it is needed to doing research about this problem with making alternative energy from the usage of wasted kepok peel. The main purpose of this research is to acknowledging the influence of yeast variation to yield percentage which is produced. This research will indicate the influence of yeast variation in order to producing bioetanol. Operated condition is in atmosphere tension with 8 gr , 10 gr, 12 gr, 14 gr, 16 gr yeast variation. The research result indicates the higher yield percentage in yeast variation 16 gr is 27.84%. The conclusion of this research is wasted kapok peel can be produced as an alternative fuel.
