Abstract
The cooking process chips into pulp by mixing chip and white liquor (liquid cookers) in the digester requires thermal energy to increase the temperature of the cooking. Results of studies conducted to evaluate the energy utilization and identify opportunities for energy savings on the object of research. The intensity of energy consumption (IKE) in the cooking area of the plant, the use of MP-Steam by 1,71 GJ/adt and LP-Steam of 0,35 GJ/adtwith production pulp 1219,16 adt. Based on the observation of the research object found their energy savings opportunities, heat loss due to damage pipe insulation 890.711,291 kcal/hr steam equivalent savings of 65,593 tons of steam/day and heat loss pipe valve without isolation of 890.711,291 kcal/hr steam equivalent of 30,561 tons/day. Condensate waste heat recovery (T = 183,60C) which can be used as a producer of flash steam amounted to 4,438 tons/hour. In addition, the use of water from steaming vessel sealing water is used as washing water of the log atunit washingroll that can save water use of 0,6 m3/h.
