In the era of ASEAN economic community, education sector in Indonesia is still on the progress. To support this gains needs facilities and infrastructure adequately. An improvement of education sector infrastructure is indispensable as long as more rapidly an economic and social growth in almost Indonesia whole regional. Remembering an importance of this role, the local government of Palembang city build a Politeknik Akamigas building that has some function in exploration, exploitation, and oil or coal processing field activation. The aim of this study is to make a design of a building which has a function for academic activity. This type of building planned that has 10 m x 44 m of land scale and 440 m2 of construction scale in Gubernur H. Bastari Street, Jakabaring, Palembang. The title of this study is Politeknik Akamigas Palembang Building Plans. The author plans and measures this construction based on primary and secondary data. The primary data gathered from planning observation in a field and the secondary data uses formula which analyzed from a few literatures. The base theory measurement uses SNI-03-1729- 2002 about Steel Structure, SNI 03-2847-2002 about Concrete Structure, and Reinforced Concrete Structure by Istimawan and Reinforced Concrete Measurement List by Gideon. The final result of this study is using roof steel conventional profile with double L. 50.50.5, concrete structure for beam, floor plate, column, and sloof 350 x 700 mm for beam dimension, 300 x 500 mm for sloof and 120 mm for floor plate thick and also we use pile cap foundation with 250 x 250 mm of size, with the deepness about 24 m. Base on the measurement, this study concluded that this building construction is stable and safe. Keywords: Plan, Building, Structure.
