Abstract
Nowadays, the development of technology has developed rapidly. Not only in everyday life, there is also a technology development of world industry. One example of technological developments to the industry is the use of sensors, primarily as a switch inductive proximity sensor. In PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja, proximity sensor used in urea bagging area. One of urea fertilizer bagging area is in Bulk Storage 2 (BS 2). There are 3 tools that should be put together to turn on the sensor works with a control system, the tool including Bag Coding Machines and UPS, in addition Proximity sensor itself. The circuit is connected to a single phase power source. Proximity sensor using open-loop control system as a control system. In open-loop control system which becomes the input is object detection sensors to print, in the form of sacks of fertilizer. Then after detection, the sensor will send a signal to the bag to blow ink coding machines that read the production code on the sacks. Posts that is the output of the control system. Then do the experiment and the results were the same for all distance allowed for detection V and IInput, As well V and IOutput. From the results of these measurements are also calculated power used by both sensors SOutput and SInput and the results obtained respectively 6,1 × 10-3 VA DC and 0,49 VA DC.
