Abstract

Security is one of important things in human’s life. There are several tools or sensors which function can be combined to use. As a tool pir (passive infrared) SR-501 sensor security system in this thesis is a security system which is applied in a room. This security system is Raspberry Pi based with LED lamp, buzzer alarm output, and LCD 16x2 display. This tool detects movement and presence of person in the room. This tool helps to increase the room security. This sensor utility works where people pass by, namely entrance gate. This utility reads the movement and existence of a person. Then, it will process the information to Raspberry computer and send the signal to LED lamp which will be forwarded to buzzer alarm and displayed on LCD.
