Abstract

Bunda Hospital is one of the famous hospitals in the Palembang city. To support the maximum service and consumer convenience, the Bunda Hospital requires a reliable electrical system, both in terms of the main power supply system, as well as the backup power supply system that is useful to maintain if the main power supply system that is the supply of PLN is interrupted. Given the supply of electric power is necessary in order to support all activities either support activities, services and crucial activities, the backup power supply system is very important to avoid in case of sudden interruption of PLN. Therefore backup power is required through backup generator. The existing backup generator working system at Bunda Hospital Palembang uses one diesel generator with a capacity of 500 kVA. When the main supply of electricity from PLN is interrupted, the ATS will transfer the supply to the backup generator. This is enough to back up all the burdens at Bunda Hospital Palembang where the total load is 392,835 kW.
