Short circuit phase to grounding and phase to phase were problems that may emerged in the power transformer operation at substation. Short circuit caused a lot of detriments, in the electrical safety equipments that put in consumers. To avoid the interference,it requiresa network protection by installing a protection relay, the kind of relay is overcurrent relay. Overcurrent relay works by sensing or measuring the interference in the electric power system and immediately as automatically gives an signal orders to the circuit breaker (CB) to breakapart of the interference system so that the other systems can operate normally. Therefore, the author is discuss how to calculate the setting of current and timing adjustment in over current relay and also make a simulation of over current relay coordination on ETAP 12.6 program. This program is purpose to design an electrical system which the value of the components are have to inserted, and then simulated, is the setting values that has been inserted on the components is suitable with a procedure in that relay reliability.
